I honestly have been wanting to blog... I just couldn't think of a single thing to blog about. I'm so out of practice, and not just that, but I feel like my life is a daily re-run. Not a bad re-run, but definitely the same old thing day after day. Maybe you could give me ideas. Is there anything you're dying to know, or something you'd like me to blog about? Leave it in the comments.
Moving on...
McCoy was blessed on the first Sunday of January. Jace did a great job and the blessing was beautiful. I made one mistake though and waited until after the entire block to try and get a family picture. Let's just take a looksy, shall we? I hate every stinkin thing about this picture. As you can see, the man of the hour was quite the grouch. Mom is 30 pounds over weight and it shows BAD in this picture. Oh, and look how I'm grabbing McCoy's crotch. That's a big picture no no! Ellie had destroyed her hair by that point, and of course doesn't know how to look at a camera. I guess Jace looks alright, but the boy just isn't that photogenic... sorry babe, we both know it's the truth. So this is the best that we got, and it's alright. I love my family and I guess that is what matters most.

You're too funny! You know something I've learned? You NEVER get the perfect pic on their blessing day! Madi was asleep in her carseat by the time we went to take them and for some reason I didn't get her out! So all of our pics of her are us huddled around the carseat! You can't even see the details of her dress. :O( Then for Maelee's we totally spaced taking ANY! We had taken so many at the Temple the day before, and it was so crazy with her birth family being in town and all my fam, Clint's fam and our friends that we just forgot. I was SO bummed when I loaded all the pics on my comp that night. Such is life, eh? :O)
Our family only consists of Dave and me, so we don't have any children to wrestle into pictures, and our pictures are never perfect either! And we're not perfect, so I'm fine with it.
I think that you should blog about the re-run days. Those are interesting too. Of course, I haven't blogged in at least a month either, so I know that it's hard to blog without something exciting to talk about!
I agree with Tiffany- I doubt there is anyone with a 'good' picture of a blessing day. Its just near impossible to get :) But you look great so don't be so hard on yourself.
so i looked at the picture and didn't think anything bad at all then i read what you wrote so i scrolled back up and looked at jace. hahaha. you have a cute family. at least you got a family picture. i totally spaced it with cole's and also didn't write down what was said and bawled the whole time so i could barely hear anyways. and you look great for just having a baby!
I was so excited to see that you posted about your little man. I don't care what you blog about I will probably always chuckle out loud no matter what the subject. I personally like the everyday things because then I don't feel like I'm the only one without a picture perfect life. :) You have the cutest little family.
i looked so awful on my son's blessing day i refuse to show people. i think you guys look cute though! we're our own worst critics :)
Erin I think you look really good. I will be very happy if I look like you after I have my baby. And I think Ellie's hair looks really cute with no bangs. I guess two year olds just don't have the attention span to look at the camera and smile for long enough to get a good picture! I never get good pictures of Sienna anymore.
I think you are looking great! It's only been a few months and first 6 weeks were probably weren't allowed to work out anyway. So don't sweat it. Atleast you got a photo of all of you together. I know you may always want them to be perfect, but something is better than nothing. I'd love to see photos of your everyday stuff. Your kids sleeping, eating, just playing, your laundry, whatever. I just miss seeing posts from you and hearing about you're up to. So I personally would be happy with ANYTHING!
Well Im sure if YOU were taking the pic it would have met your expectations. ha ha ..... he is so cute Erin
blog about what you do... boring or not. one day your current routine will be gone and you'll wonder what you did all day. what your guilty pleasures are... when you get a second to yourself what do you do?
WHEN THE HECK did Ellie get so big?! The twins have the same outfit and their hair was that long but I cut off a few inches to "thicken up".
And another thing... every family picture from here on out will be a struggle. No joke. So, get ready... and regardless you guys all look great. and we totally understand!!!!!!
and you look fabulous.. don't see any flab in that pic. no joke!
Oh Erin...my little pen pal. See this is why people love you and your blog. You just tell it how it is. It doesn't matter what you post about because you are just funny about what happens in the day to day. And we all ove to read it because we are all the same, we just don't know how to talk about it as funny as you do. You crack me up every time I read a post. I think you are beautiful, by the way. And I don't know why I was thinking of this the other day and would love to have that picture of us from Allie's wedding outside the temple. How is the editing going? Done? Not even close? I hope it's going well. I still feel bad that I didn't help out with it more. I owe you millions.
You are hilarious! First of all...you look GORGEOUS!!!...as always, I might add! Love your guts! It's a picture with character! I cannot believe how big and beautiful Ellie is, she is just growing up so fast. And the Little Grouch, he is adorable and I love his outfit!!!
You definitely have a photographers eye, I NEVER would have seen any of those "mistakes" had you not pointed them out. Some of my favorite family photos from growing up are the ones that aren't "perfect". We have one right after getting sealed in the temple where everyone is smiling except for Sarah, who just got yelled at and had huge crocodile tears and a blotchy face. I also love the Christmas picture on the stairs where everyone is sitting and smiling at the camera except for Julie (12 years old) who is showing some leg and giving the camera her best sexy face. My parents were mortified at the time, but both of those pictures made it into our family album years later :). I'm sure they'll look back and laugh, and remember how good it was to grow up in your home, with wonderful parents.
Well first of all I want to say my first thoughts when I saw your family photo was oh cute and then, wow erin looks so good. I hope I can look that good after I have this baby.
